Moorfold is an independent studio in Istanbul, building a production engine for explainer documentaries. Each film is planned scene by scene: what is on screen, how long it stays, where it comes from and whether we may use it.

The documentary engine

From a researched script to a finished film, one scene at a time.

What it is

A production engine that turns a researched script into a finished explainer documentary. The film is planned as a scene manifest: what is on screen, how long it stays, where it comes from and whether we may use it. The engine renders motion graphics and narration from that plan.

Where it stands In development

A full draft of the first episode exists. For Moorfold's documentaries, a person approves every script, asset and final render, and nothing is published automatically. The engine is for our own films for now.

The rule

A row whose source or evidence is missing is flagged, and it does not pass.

An unknown is never counted as zero. In the demo's example data, 11 of 60 scenes are flagged and none is cleared for the final film yet. See every scene

  • Unknown is not zero

    A missing source or missing evidence is shown as missing. We do not let a gap look like a pass.

  • A person decides

    Software proposes and records. A person approves what is published, and the approval is kept.

  • Public sources, clearly marked

    Films draw on published archives and sources. Where rights are unclear, we say so and use our own material instead.

  • Built with Claude

    We write and review our code with Claude Code and use Claude for research and drafting. Everything it produces is checked by us.
