FAQ
Questions and answers
Short answers about the engine, the demo, pricing and this site. Something missing? Write to us.
The engine
What is Moorfold?
An independent studio in Istanbul, building a production engine for explainer documentaries. Each film is planned scene by scene: what is on screen, how long it stays, where it comes from and whether we may use it.
When can I use it?
Soon. The engine is in development, and subscriptions will open after it is ready. Until then, the demo shows a read-only snapshot of one draft episode as example data.
What does "Working" mean on the status page?
That the tests named beside it passed when this site was built. If one of them fails, the site is not built. See the status page.
Which video formats does it make?
Six: documentary, explainer, short vertical, news summary, product introduction and lesson. The product page lists them; the status page shows which work today.
Can I take the scene table elsewhere?
Yes. The scene table exports as CSV and JSON. An export for After Effects exists but is experimental and has not been tested in After Effects.
Sources and rights
Where do the pictures come from?
From our own vector drawings and from published archives. The manifest records the source and licence of every picture.
What happens when the rights to a picture are unclear?
The scene is flagged and does not pass. Drafts show our own drawing in its place, and the final film does not use the picture until its rights are cleared.
Do you use AI?
We write and review our code with Claude Code and use Claude for research and drafting. Its suggestions are imported for a person to review; none is applied on its own.
Pricing
What will it cost?
Plans and prices are coming soon. They will be published on the pricing page before anything is sold.
How do I hear when plans open?
Write to info@moorfold.com. We use your address only to reply.
This site
Does this site use cookies or analytics?
No. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other servers. Read the privacy page.
Does the site need JavaScript?
No. Every page is plain HTML. The demo's filters and clip player use JavaScript; without it, the full scene table is still shown.
